COF cohort 2019

The Community Organising Fellowship is an intensive training program for experienced campaigners to expand their organising skills and build powerful networks.  It’s an immersive six-month program that expands your skills and resources through practical individual and team-based exercises, digging into case studies and other resources, amazing guest speakers, peer learning and mentoring.

Applications for the 2021 Fellowship close 31 October. Apply here.

COF2021 dates: The Fellowship is an immersive experience of reflection, deep listening, connecting and planning for action. To build a strong learning group, we require cohort members to commit to participating in all sessions.

  • Workshop #1 in March will be online, starting the evening of 7/3, then 5 full days 8-12/3 plus the evening of 16/3.
  • Workshop #2 June. If online: evening of 6/6, then 5 full days 7-11/6 plus evening sessions 15 & 16/6 OR if face to face: evening of 5/6, then 7 days 6- 12/6.
  • Workshop #3 September. If online: evening of 5/9, then 5 full days 6-10/9 then daytime sessions 13 & 14/9 OR if face to face: evening of 4/9 then 7 full days 5-11/9

The fellowship is anchored in your day to day work. As a member of the COF2021 cohort, you’ll apply what you learn to your campaigns. So instead of thinking of the training as ’time out’, think of it as ’time on’. In a workshop environment without the routine day-to-day distractions and surrounded by supportive peers, you’ll be doing some of your most focused work all year.
